Founding Partner, Risk Principles
London-based Judy Larkin is a specialist in reputation management, contingency planning and risk communications on how to anticipate and assess threats and opportunities from emerging issues and to develop response strategies designed to align operational and reputational objectives with stakeholder expectations. In additional, Judy advises on and tests corporate emergency response plans as part of commercial and reputational risk management policies and procedures.
Judy’s experience includes working for research and development based corporations, both as an in-house senior executive and as consultant running communication practices for corporations, both as an in-house senior executive and as a consultant running communication practices for leading US and UK firms. Her clients have included 3M, British Airways, Sony, Logica, IBM, British Telecom, Vodafone, ICI, AXA, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi-Aventis, AstraZeneca, Baxter Healthcare and Bayer. She has also been an advisor to government at local and national level.
She was a founding partner and managing director of UK based crisis and issue management firm, Regester Larkin, for eleven years before setting up a new business, Risk Principals, designed to focus on consulting in risk communication.
She is a senior research fellow, advisory board member and lecturer at the Centre for Risk Management at King’s College, London and also lectures at a number of universities and business schools, including the Centre for Risk Analysis at Hardvard University’s School of Public Health. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations, the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Institution. Judy has written numerous articles and has had two books published on best practice approaches to reputation management and risk communication.
